The Process of Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy
Hypnotherapy Treatment

Hopefully reading this section you will find out all
about hypnotherapy, its uses and how it can be
used in everyday life, whether it be for losing weight
or just to help you with a positive attitude.

Just the fact that you are reading this means you
want to MAKE A CHANGE and that's what
Hypnotherapy is all about.

Whether you want to quit smoking, lose weight,
cure a phobia, hit that better Golf shot, de-stress,
or you are having trouble sleeping at night, then
hypnotherapy can help.

The Process in full: This proceess may be changed
slightly for each client as we are all different. It
normally lasts about 50 minutes.

PLEASE REMEMBER HYPNOSIS IS SAFE, NO ONE
CAN BE MADE TO DO SOMETHING THAT THEY
DONT WANT TO DO. THE HYPNOTHERAPIST
HAS NO POWER OVER YOU. IF YOU WISH TO
DISCUSS THIS STATEMENT PLEASE FEEL FREE
TO GET IN TOUCH.
CONSULTATION: - First of all we begin with a consultation. This is for the therapist to find out what change you want to make. There may be underlying issues that need to be addressed to solve the real issue.

INDUCTION:- This is when the therapist helps you, the client, enter into a state of trance. Notice I say "helps you" because the therapist has no control over you. They CANNOT make you do something that you DO NOT WANT TO DO. This is opposite to what most people believe. ALL HYPNOSIS IS SELF HYPNOSIS.

THE DEEPENING: - Once in a trance a deepening may be used as it says to take the client deeper as hypnotherapy is normally carried out at this level of conciousness. With some clients the induction can take them to this level.

THE WORK: - This is where the therapist will help the client with his or her goal, previously discussed with the client during consultation. Please click on symptoms page to see how hypnotherapy can benefit an individual.

THE AMNESIA:- This is the technique within the process where the hypnotherapist helps the client remove the session from their conscious mind. However the session will be stored for a very long time in the client's sub-concious mind. (this is not always used)

Finally,
THE AWAKENING:- As it suggests this is where the therapist will help the client return to a fully conscious state (Some do not want to come back as it has been a wonderful experience)

Hypnotherapy has changed over time and is now a whole lot simpler, with no stopwatches and definitely not "LOOK INTO MY EYES"!
We do not swing watches any more
look into my eyes
